Get to La Saladita
Most people fly into Zihuatanejo (ZIH). The drive is about 45 minutes.
Budget: bus + local taxi
- Bus toward La Unión, then a taxi into La Saladita
- Much cheaper, less direct
- Allow extra time
Your own car
- Highway 200, then the turn toward the coast at La Unión
- Dirt sections after rain — slow down. A sedan makes it with care.
Before you arrive
- One ATM, at Hacienda Café. About MX$1,000 a day in cash is a comfortable budget.
- Telcel is strongest. Most of our houses have Starlink.
- Warm water year-round. No wetsuit; lycra helps at dawn.
